This is a fast, discreet and affordable way to rectify minor orthodontic issues in adults
It can achieve straighter front teeth in less than six months.
The treatment is a simple method that corrects alignment issues to the top and bottom six front teeth; using clear orthodontic brackets and tooth-coloured nickel-titanium wires fitted to the teeth. The wires put gentle pressure on the brackets to level and straighten the teeth with minimal discomfort. There is no need for severe tightening that occurs with traditional orthodontic treatments.
Without the lengthy process incurred by traditional braces, and using subtle wires, it is an ideal solution for many adults seeking an enhanced smile.
If you require more extensive orthodontic work, Dr Bell will discuss your options with you. He works closely with one of the leading orthodontic specialists in Singapore and can refer you, if required.
Cfast is only designed for adults to help them enhance their smile and front teeth for a cosmetic improvement.
Cfast should not be compared to traditional orthodontics or braces. Cfast is aimed only at adults and is carried out purely for cosmetic reasons. It does fix more severe issues that require movement from all the teeth and jaw, like traditional orthodontics.
As with any orthodontic procedure, there can be some discomfort for a few days after the appliance is fitted. However, because the forces with Cfast are very light there should be little to no pain at all.
During treatment, you may find that the teeth become a little mobile and sensitive to pressure. This is quite normal and will be fully resolved when the braces are removed.
It can be a little more challenging to clean your teeth. However, good oral hygiene is important during treatment. We can discuss with you the best way to brush your teeth and provide any advice you require.
It should take no longer than 9 months but the vast majority are complete in a 4-6 month period.
Retainers are important with Cfast and are a great way to hold the teeth in position, otherwise there is a strong possibility that they will move in time. Depending on your situation, both fixed and removable retainers are available. We will explain retainers in more detail when you attend your initial consultation.
Treatment costs vary and depend on whether you are treating just one jaw or both jaws and if there are any particular issues which could make treatment more complicated. We will chat to you during your initial consultation and give you a clear plan and cost for the procedure, depending on your requirements.
